The Instructors Course is the compulsory first step for Surf Lifeguards to gain the Instructors Award and become instructors for the Surf Lifeguard Award (SLA) and/or the Senior Lifeguard Award (SLA-IRBD). The cou rse enables members to obtain relevant theory about instruction and teachin g so it can be utilised when training members.
Registrations close Friday 4 November, please contact the club if you are interested in registering f or this course.

Wainui Juniors from U5's to U14's take to the beach for the first session of the season. You will need - hi vis vest, club cap, togs (we tsuits option), water, snacks, sun screen and something warm to put on w hen you've finished.

The first SLA (Surf Lifeguard Award) exam for the season. 5:30pm Friday 25 November and 7:30am Saturday 26 November. Venue to be advised. Good luck to all this years candidates.

Gisborne Junior Surf presents the first carnival of the seasonhosted by Midway SLSC the Teams land based events, including beach flags, beach sprints, beach and novel relays. Come along and have fun in this pa rticipation land based event.

The Surf Official Level One course provides an entry level anddevelopmental programme for Surf Life Saving Club members to pursue or cont inue officiating at surf lifesaving events. The course aims to provide the basic knowledge and skills needed to officiate at club and regional levels.

Wainui Junior Surf welcomes U5's to U14's to participate in funbeach and water activities designed to promote, educate and develop safe beach knowledge.

Waikanae SLSC hosts the Junior Surf Teams water based events for U7 to U14 aged Junior Surf participants. Events will include surf race, run swim run, board race, board relay and more. Come along and have fun i n this participation water based event carnival. You will need: hi vis vest , club cap, togs (wetsuit optional), goggles, warm clothing, sun scree n, water and snacks. Registrations will be taken on the day.

For those junior surf participants not participating at the Waikanae Teams event there will be activities at the club for U7's.
