Weather conditions eased some what for day 2 of Oceans 18. Beach availability was a concern for organisers today with Beach Flags on the schedule and not much room until the tide receded with strong onshore winds continuing to push in swell combined with a king tide due to the full moon.
With water events run first to allow for an outgoing tide Jack Keepa made the most of conditions to bring in the first medal for Wainui, 3rd place and Bronze in the boys U14 Surf Race.
Ella Arthur had a fantastic run through in the U12 girls Beach Flags to finish in 4th position.
Another consistent day for Team Wainui with many progressing through heats and semi's in the testing conditions. Super proud of all the efforts today.
